Isla Car

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Isla Car mobile application (“App”), operated by Isla Car (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Isla Car is an online taxi booking platform that connects passengers with independent drivers for transportation services. Isla Car does not provide transportation directly and does not employ drivers.

2. Eligibility

To use Isla Car, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information

3. User Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

  • Isla Car is not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized account access.

4. Booking and Rides

  • Ride availability depends on driver location and demand.

  • Estimated fares, arrival times, and routes are not guaranteed.

  • Drivers may cancel rides for valid reasons including safety or availability issues.

  • You agree to behave respectfully toward drivers and follow applicable laws.

5. Payments and Fees

  • Fares are displayed before confirming a booking and may vary due to distance, time, traffic, or surge pricing.

  • Payments are processed through third-party payment providers.

  • You authorize Isla Car to charge applicable fees to your selected payment method.

  • Cancellation or no-show fees may apply.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

  • You may cancel a ride subject to applicable cancellation charges.

  • Refunds, if any, will be processed according to our cancellation policy.

  • Isla Car reserves the right to deny refunds in cases of misuse or fraud.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for illegal purposes

  • Harass, threaten, or harm drivers or other users

  • Provide false information

  • Damage or misuse the App

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the App’s functionality

Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or termination.

8. Driver Responsibility

  • Drivers are independent third parties.

  • Isla Car does not control driver behavior, vehicle condition, or route choices.

  • Any disputes between passengers and drivers should be reported to Isla Car support.

9. Safety Disclaimer

While Isla Car takes reasonable measures to promote safety, we do not guarantee:

  • Driver conduct

  • Vehicle safety

  • Trip outcomes

You use the service at your own risk.

10. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including logos, text, graphics, and software, is owned by Isla Car or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, or distribute any content without written permission.

11. Suspension and Termination

Isla Car reserves the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate your account at any time

  • Restrict access for violations of these Terms or applicable laws

Termination may occur without prior notice.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Isla Car shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Personal injury, property damage, or loss arising from rides

  • Delays, cancellations, or service interruptions

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Isla Car harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the App

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your interaction with drivers or third parties

14. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your data.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted in the App with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App indicates acceptance of the changes.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in your jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.
